Preserved by God

     Psalm 121:7-8 says the Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. 

    When we trust Jesus as our Savior, we become children of God. These two verses say the Lord will protect his people from all evil from the moment they are saved forever.

     Recently, my husband and I were in town and stopped at a red light. The light turned green; I looked both ways. It was hard to see because some bushes were blocking my view. I looked again and proceeded to go through the intersection. A car was coming fast toward us. I applied my brakes. The driver stopped just short of my driver's side door. 

     That near accident shook us up, but we are thankful all was well. As the Psalmist says, God has us preserved in his care no matter what.
