A Friend Loveth at all times

     The scripture Proverbs 17:17 says, A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. Dennis, my husband, did remodeling work. Dennis's boss was going through a rough time. He had been sick and had a series of tests run to identify his condition. He was in and out of the hospital for weeks and didn't seem to get any better. Dennis and I visited his boss one Sunday afternoon at his home. We had a good visit, and I will say today his boss is doing well.

     The work stopped when Dennis's boss was sick. Dennis became self-employed and started doing jobs for friends and neighbors. His boss sold their home and moved to their vacation home an hour and a half away. Dennis and I visited their home to give them back a key to their work trailer. The boss's wife was home alone. She was glad to see us. She said I am thankful for such good friends as you. I know if my car was to break down, I can count on you to come to my aid. I thought, wow, such kind words! It made me feel good she had that much trust in us.

     God wants us to have that much trust in him.  He is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother Proverbs 18:24.
