Be Instant In Prayer
Have you had a friend ask for prayer, and you forgot to pray for them? Have you gone to sleep while praying? Our heart is right. We need to plan our day, so our prayer time will be a priority instead of an afterthought. Read 1 Timothy 2:1-8. Let's look at four specific types of prayer Paul mentions in these verses.
Paul mentions in verse one pray for specific needs to be met. Second, pray in general, confessing sins and asking forgiveness. The third type of prayer is intercessory prayer, praying for the needs of others. The fourth type of prayer is giving thanks.
In this passage, Paul says we are to pray for all men, even those in authority. So before you sleep tonight, make it a priority to pray an intercessory prayer for the salvation of our leaders and give thanks to God for all he has done for us.
