God's Protection

    This true story took place in the summer of 1984.  My four small children were in the yard playing.  My two boys were in the sandpile with their cars and trucks and the girls were just outside the back door.  I was busy mopping the kitchen floor.  

    All of a sudden an, overwhelming urge came over me to check on the welfare of the children.  I walked outside.  Right away, I noticed the girls were fine. The boys were still playing in the sandpile.  They didn't notice the snake crawling toward them a few feet away.  I calmly told the boys to go stand by their sisters. They immediately did as I instructed. I got a hoe and killed the snake in the exact spot where the boys had been playing. 

     God is awesome. He was warning me of the impending danger that my boys were in.  When God speaks, we are to heed his warning. We need to do as our father (GOD) says. Just like my children did as I instructed. 

Psalm 91:1-2

1.) He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2.) I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
