Peace From Above

I recently drove to the beach one Sunday afternoon to watch the waves and take some pictures. The blue colors of the sky and ocean were beautiful. The warmth of the sun and the cool breeze were refreshing. I took the pictures and returned home.  

Later that evening, looking at the photos, I noticed something I had not seen before. One picture had a cloud shaped like a dove in flight over the water.  I was amazed.  The dove is often used as a symbol of peace which I needed at that moment.  The day before was a bad day for me.  It was the fourth month anniversary of my husband's passing.  

Matthew 3:16-17 tells when Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, the Spirit of God descended upon Him like a dove. The Father spoke from Heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased."

It was as if God was using that picture of the dove-shaped cloud to tell me, "You are my child. Let my peace fill you at this time. I am with you."

As Christians, we are all His children. Whatever situation you are in, let His peace fill you. He is with you.

Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
