Praising God for his Protection
Psalm 150: 6 Says, Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.
A few weeks ago, I drove to the John Deere Implement company to get the yearly maintenance parts for my John Deere Lawnmower. I chose Drummer Kellum Road, located beside the John Deere store, as my way to travel home upon leaving the store with my purchases. Unfortunately, at the end of Drummer Kellum Road, the state had made a new traffic pattern at Ramsey Road, which now has a three-way stop.
I approached the intersection first and stopped my vehicle. Another car stopped at the stop sign to my right. They intended to go through the intersection and continue down Ramsey Road. I needed to turn left onto Ramsey Road. I looked to my left and noticed the car approaching the intersection was not slowing down. I waited, and the vehicle went straight through the intersection.
When the lady drove into the intersection, she realized she had run the stop sign. She put her hand over her mouth and looked at me. The driver that stopped at the stop sign also covered her mouth! Fortunately, nobody was injured. I am still practicing the Psalmist's words and praising God.
In Psalm 57:1, The Psalmist David says he takes his refuge under the protective wings of God. So I praise God that he protected us with his protective wings that day!
