Rejoice in the Lord

     On this day a year ago, my world was turned upside down. My husband of 30 years went into the hospital for a double heart bypass surgery. The doctor lost him on the table as he was about to close his chest. The doctor massaged his heart and got his heart beating again. My husband was placed on life support and passed away 60 days later. 

     I told all this to say everyone has a date and time in their life where they struggle to get through the day.  I try to keep my stories upbeat and inspirational, but sometimes I need to pull back and say this is where I am. 

     The scripture for today is Psalm 118:24. This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.  I do rejoice because I know where my husband is, and he is healed and in no more pain. Every day is a good day when you know the Lord. Even in bad days, we can find reasons to rejoice in the Lord.
