The Broken One

   This morning,  I picked up a bag from my dining room table. It was among some boxes of Christmas decorations we placed on the table yesterday.  Opening the bag, I wondered what was inside.  It was a shattered glass Christmas tree ornament.  There was no way the ornament could be put back together.  It had to be thrown away. 

   I thought, sometimes we become broken.  We may have shattered dreams and broken relationships.  We may be broken from the loss of a loved one.  We could be broken from bad health problems.  Our life could be shattered from losing a job.

   In times like this, it is easy to just give up! Instead, Look up! God is there drawing close to you.  He wants you to rely on him to get you through the situation.  He doesn't throw his children away.
