The Rich Fool

Read Luke 12: 13-21. Jesus told this parable of a rich man whose ground brought forth much fruit.The rich man decided to tear his barns down and build new ones to store the fruit for years to come.  

Jesus called the rich man a fool. That night he would die then who would get his things.

The rich man thought things of this world would satisfy him instead of living for the Lord.  He also  thought he would live a long life. 

Matthew 6:19-21

19) Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal;

20) But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 

21) For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
